Coleraine lifestyle planning, not just retirement planning and investment advice.
I met with a couple last Friday. As we chatted the husband said he’d love to retire next year (aged 60) and do what he enjoyed but he didn’t know if he had enough money or how long it would last. His eyes lit up when I told him that I could provide the answers to these questions. Some time later in the conversation his wife said “I’d love to live in a log cabin by the lake”. We have still to follow up on this meeting but imagine if they had come to see a true financial planner 30 years ago – they could have planned for their retirement and factored in when it would come and how it would look.
This is the sort of scenario we are coming across more and more. People are so bored and turned off by a discussion based around a pension plan but those same people become animated when they are asked about their retirement and life goals. They understand that instead of selling them a product our goal is to answer those deep questions and put a plan in place to make their hopes a reality.
